Top 5 10 albums

There’s infinite ways to build a top 5 albums list, being the picky person I am I’ve chosen to only include albums where I love every last song.

Now this alienates an awful lot of music because there are always going to be songs that I’m just thinking gah get over yourself or this is unnecessary.

So here in no order is what I came up with.

The Academy is… - Fast Times At Barrington High

An incredibly repetitive album in the way of rhythm…but if that beat is awesome who cares! Definitely an album where every song keeps me sufficiently pumped, even the bonus tracks.

Asteria - Asteria

Now technically this is an E.P. but to me it’s an album with all the filler thrown away. Fast paced but not, aggressive but soft, holds you in right to the end.

The Audition - Self Titled Album

Just incredibly fresh the whole way through, nothing else to say, the definition of a solid album.

Brand New - Deja Entendu

Ok, so I cheated the first track is dreadful, but I never listen to it, I can’t even imagine how it goes, so for me it doesn’t exist which means that this is album is epic. Such a wide sound that really sucks you in.

From First To Last - S/T and Throne To The Wolves

Yep that’s 2 albums and that’s because they’re both so solid why would I have separate entrys. They are very different from each other but both remain high in my most played list. My favourite live band by far.

Hawthorne Heights - Fragile Future

Impossible to explain but every song is instantly recognisable and impossible to knock.

Plain White T’s - All That We Needed

Incredible album, so many original melodies and riffs for the genre, some are heavily borrowed from the 80’s but who cares! Stand outs are “sad story” and “What More Do You Want?”

Powerspace - The Kicks Of Passion

A unique band in my eyes and probably the worst band break up for me. The album does have some lower points like “Amplifire” but when its followed by “Be Aggressive” who can complain? Auto-tune before it was annoying.

The Used - Lies For The Liars

Just wow, when this dropped I was just blown away. I don’t know why but I always compare this to the black parade(or more enjoy listening to this in outer space where it is compared to the black parade). Like, seriously how can a song with “liar liar pants on fire” be probably the best song on the album, pure crazy perfection, I love it.

Impossible to write a lead-out without sounding full of myself lead-out coming at ya.
